This year BSS West Bengal chapter observed ‘Save The Environment Week’ from 5-12 June 2025 demanding appropriate Government action to tackle the climate crisis and protect the environment through the following programs – Seminars and Discussions on The Effects of Global Warming, Role of Fossil Fuels, Environmental Degradation, Search for Eco-Friendly Energy, mass deputation and convention on regional environmental issues, tree planting drives and processions with demand posters. District chapters and affiliated science clubs of 14 districts (Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Murshidabad, North 24 PGS, South 24 PGS, Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, Paschim Bardhhaman, Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur) have organized several programs on the occasion of World Environment Day during this period.

1 June 2025: Mass convention against Environment Pollution due to Emissions of Sponge Iron Industries in Purulia District organized by BSS Purulia Chapter. More than two hundred participants joined this convention.

On 12 June 2025, a state level mass rally was organized at Kolkata in which about 5 hundred people including scientists, professors, teachers, scholars, students and science loving people joined to raise their voice to protect the environment.

3rd June 2025: Disscusion on Sustainable Development to protect Environment at Khalisani High School, Chandan Nagar, Hooghly District where main speaker was Dr. Kanchan Chowdhury, Retired Science Communicator, NCSM India. 140 students joined in this seminar and it was organised by Science Learning Centre, Khalisani High School and BSS Hooghly District Chapter.

5 June 2025: Tree Planting and campus cleaning by students of Hirapur M C High School, Burnpur, Asansol, Paschim Bardhman District organized by BSS affiliated Science Club (S N Bose Science Club, Asansol). Priyanka Chatterjee (State council member) and Sankha Karmakar (State Secretariat Member) conducted this program.

5 June 2025: Street Meeting held at Contai Town, Purba Medinipur District against Missile launching Centre at Junput and Atomic Electricity Centre at Haripur, nearby Contai town organized by BSS affiliated science club ‘Contai Science Centre’. BSS district secretary and All India Executive member Sumanta Shee and other important teachers and social activists of Contai town spoke on this meeting.

5 June 2025: Street meeting at Jatin Das Park Metro station, Kolkata organized by BSS Kolkata District Chapter. Prof. Nilesh Ranjan Maiti, Working President of BSS WB Chapter was main speaker in this public meeting.

5 June 2025: Tree Planting  at New Integrated Govt School (BM), Bhulageria, Lalgarh, Jhargram by BSS Jhargram district chapter.

June 5 : A new science club (Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Bijnan Sanstha) was inaugurated in Barasat, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Tree saplings were planted in Barasat Kishalaya Home campus.
