A webinar on ‘NEP2020’ and ‘Indian Knowledge System wasorganised by Breakthrough Science Society, Abroad chapter on 29 Jan 2022. Prof. Soumitro Banerjee, Professor, IISER Kolkata and General Secretary, Breakthrough Science Society, was the main speaker.
Prof. Soumitro Banerjee spoke on the pernicious impact of incorporating the so called ‘Indian Knowledge System’ in school, college, and university curricula as part of the New Education Policy 2020. Unfortunately, in the name of the Indian Knowledge System, what is being propagated is pseudoscientific claims. He emphasized the need to project the real achievements of ancient Indian civilization so that people are not carried away by the false propaganda.
