A science workshop was organized at Dharavi, Mumbai on 24th December 2022 by Breakthrough Science Society – Mumbai Chapter. There were nearly 60 students from 3 schools. Shruti De, from the University of New York, USA and a member of the BSS-Abroad Chapter, presented a seminar on ‘Particle zoo: The constituents of matter’. An astronomy model-making session, was conducted by Karuna Gamre, a BSS organizer and science communicator. The model taken up was a pocket solar system. Two sessions of ‘Learning science through experiments’ were also organized by the school students and BSS organizers and research scholars Dibyashankar Das, Arnab Roy, and Abhradeep Roy.
